From campus into the "real" life.
„BeComing Friends“ is a mentoring programme supported by the AKAFÖ and the UniverCity-Bochum-Group bringing together foreign students with Bochum’s citizens. The aim of "BeComing Friends" is promotion of the cultural exchange between international students and citizens of Bochum and enables a better identification with the university location of Bochum.
The participation in the programme is on a voluntary basis. International students and their mentors decide themselves how and when they meet.
The welfare, the security and the cultural differences of both parties should thereby always be considered.
The host has no financial obligations towards the international student. Costs for studies, accommodation and leisure activities are born by students themselves.
